About Us

The Pet Food Pantry is the area’s first dedicated charitable pet food resource and was established in 2013 to help prevent the abandonment or surrender of animals when their families cannot afford to feed them. Samantha Crowe, Kristen Below, Kristen Kenyon and Christy Hill are co-founders of the Pantry and believe it can make a difference in overburdened shelters and rescues by helping ease the stress of those facing financial difficulty feeding their pets. Because when people must choose what to cut from their grocery lists, pets often are among and those that suffer most. We believe that The Pet Food Pantry is a gift for the entire community…and that by lending a hand when times are tough and providing dog and cat food for the companion pets of anyone in honest need we can ease these burdens on the families and the community.

PANTRY PROGRAMS

Monthly Assistance Program

We provide FREE food & litter assistance to pet owners facing financial hardships.

Spay & Neuter Program

We stand strong on our policy requiring ALL pets in our monthly assistance program be spayed & neutered. If a pet owner cannot afford this, we provide it at no cost to them as funding for the program is donated.

Meals on Wheels

We provide free pet food to assist Senior Citizens in the Meals on Wheels program who struggle to afford pet food! This way their pets stay fed & they don’t have to worry about giving them up, foregoing their own medication or sharing their meals with them.

Community Outreach Program

We work in underprivileged targeted neighborhoods that need resources to care for their pets. We also spend time educating pet owners on responsible ownership; provide free spaying/neutering, working to address the need for proper dog houses, and removing dogs from chains. We reach out to the pets that desperately need us the most by going mobile.
